Electrostatic cleaning is the method of spraying a product through the use of a special electrostatic gun delivering electrostatic treatment to premises. The technology in the gun deploys the product as a very fine mist, travelling through the air and quickly killing surface based pathogens. The technology in the gun deploys the product with a positive charge. This charge means that the droplets in the mist wrap around all surfaces, and don't just hit what is directly in front of them.

Electrostatic cleaning requires skill to be effective

An example of an electrostatic treatment would be spraying chair legs - the products will wrap round the whole leg, and not just the front surface it is sprayed towards as shown in the below image.

This means that the process is quick, efficient and doesn't require the moving of bulky items of furniture. This is preferable for premises that may have large amounts of furniture, as well as heavy furniture that may be difficult to move, or is simply impossible to move/

What is the difference between fogging and electrostatic spraying?

What is the difference Between Electrostatic Sprayers and Foggers? 

  • Electrostatic sprayers have an electrode that introduces a positive electric charge to the solution. The technology makes disinfectant actively attracted to surfaces, allowing it to fully encapsulate an object for complete coverage.
  • Foggers or misters create a dry fog or wet mist that kills pathogens in the air and on any surface it contacts. It's a quick and easy way to disinfect large areas with minimal disruption.

What products are used with electrostatic cleaning?

Whilst this process is great in theory, it is useless if the wrong cleaning products are selected. We have the knowledge of the best products to tackle all pathogens.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, we have used this cleaning technology in a number of premise types, including offices, schools and retirement living premises.

So I don't need to clean, just spray?

Some cleaning companies try and offer this service as a quick fix, but don't fully understand the process. It is very much a two stage process, with C coming before D as it does in the alphabet. Cleaning must be completed before disinfection by electrostatic cleaning technology, or else the process is a waste of time and money.
